Sonja’s for dessert

Red Velvet and Chocolate surprise after dinner at Sentro.

Sentro 1771

Another result of Mom’s laziness to cook is dinner at the Sentro 1771 in Serendra.

What caught my attention is that the waitress told us that they wont be using straws for our drinks and that’s a plus since we are all up for mother nature saving ways.

Meet Sentro’s signature dish- Corned Beef Sinigang :) Before they serve this dish, they would come to your table and will give you this Corned Beef Sinigang sample soup to taste and would ask for your opinion if their soup fits your taste well.

This Garlic-ky Adobo is another must order. Their serving is mostly composed of pork meat instead of pork fat unlike in other restos plus the taste is really good.

Their Mango Salad is indeed unique. I am used to order Fresh mango salad which was usually accompanied by Bagoong but Sentro’s version is made up of dilis, tomato and red eggs.

Full night I should say.

Emerald Garden

After graduation, family and I headed out to Emerald Garden Restaurant for dinner. They are known for their delectable Chinese Cuisine. Emerald Garden Restaurant is located in Roxas Boulevard in case you might want to check them out.

We got Spinach Soup as our appetizer. This is definitely a must try. It has a consistency of a Nido Soup and what what made it more healthy is that aside from the Spinach itself, it also has a Tofu.

Main Dish #1 is Beef with Brocolli. This is also a must order especially when you are with your family- the serving size is good for almost 5 people and the ingredients is not really tinipid.

Main Dish #2 is the Cold Cuts. Mom is really thrilled about this because she said it is one of Emerald’s best delicacy. I guess I was too busy munching on the Beef with Brocolli that I did not really had a chance to taste all of the Cold cuts. You can tell me what you think about this dish when you plan to visit Emerald. :)

Main Dish #3 is the Roast Chicken. I am not really a fan of Chicken Skin but boy, the skin of this Chicken is really good plus full of flavor and you won’t find its taste in anywhere else. I rate this chicken as 8.5/10

Main Dish #4 is the Sweet and Sour Fish. This is really good because the sweetness and sourness really compliments each other unlike in those Chinese Fastfoods.

SBC CON 2012 Graduation

At last- gone are the days of long pop quizzes, hassle deadlines, case signing and early duties. I am now a BSN Graduate! :) To be honest, Nursing is not really my choice of course but as time goes by, I’ve learn to love it and plans to further continue my education next year. I guess I am meant to take this course because without Nursing, I also won’t be able to meet my forever awesome friends Princess, Ivan, Jeff, Kenneth and Derek.

Yesterday’s heat was insane but it yeah it was all worth it :) Congratulations to us SBC CON 2012

Play x Time

Whilst waiting for our turn for our creative shot, Princess decided that we should play with her cam and we ended up having our own “creative shoot”. She portrayed Tyra Banks and I went for Lady Gaga. What a long yet super fun day for us. I’m sure I’ll miss these things after we graduate from college.

My 21st Birthday Photo Diary

Had a chance to celebrate it with my forever awesome friends, A and Sissy. Photos are from Princess.

Sissy

My friend Princess took this while we were out last Friday. Taking about Kodak moment haha

Mary Grace Night

Sorry for being hiatus for a while. I’ve been busy fixing my graduation requirements lately. Yes, I’ll be graduating in 3 weeks :))) Anyways enough with the excuses intro. What I’ll be photoblogging right now is about the Mary Grace Restaurant. We ate at the Greenbelt branch. You can also check them out at the Serendra. What I love about the place is their warm home-y vibe.

If you opt for light meals, you can try their sandwiches. We got the Vigan Longganisa Sandwich and the Chicken Inasal one. By the way, Mary Grace is known for their delectable pastries so don’t forget to bring home one when you had a chance to eat there.

My Week with Manilyn

Michelle Williams in

Have to say Michelle Williams really gave justice to her role as the famous Manilyn Monroe. The movie would let you see who is the real Miss Monroe according to Colin Clark and you would realize that it’s not all about the glitz and glamour after all when we speak of happiness and success. Best weekend ender movie so far. I believe it is exclusively shown in Ayala Theatres only.

Chain Reaction

I’m always a fan of daisy dukes short plus any kind of top. Yesterday I decided to wear something that consist of bold prints. Got the oversized top from Pretty in Pink, shorts from Greenhills, shades from Guadalupe Market and brown quilted messenger bag from thrift store. I am very much inspired of the lookbook famous Denny’s love for thrift finds so I decided to wear something one.

YABU: House of Katsu

I’ve seen many good reviews about YABU and finally since today is a holiday, I tugged A here for our lunch.

Upon entering their resto, you would notice their manga inspired wall post design which would give you a modern japanese setting vibe. What caught my attention is that their condiments is far from ordinary condiments you’ll see on other japanese restaurants and as you read my post you’ll know why it is very different from others indeed.

Remember the unique condiments I was telling you about earlier? Well here’s the reason why Yabu is different from others. When you order a Katsu meal, you’ll get the chance make your own Katsu sauce. The waiter would give you a small dip dish with sesame seeds and what you’ll need to do is to grind them and put on some katsu sauce. Cool yeah? Plus they have this chili powder and sauce which you will find in their condiments set- you can put them in your katsu sauce if you want it a bit of spice in it.

When your food order is beyond 500 bucks, Yabu would offer you 2 free appetizer of your choice. We had a potato salad and this greens.

Our main dish#1 is the mixed katsu set. Actually, it is a lot bigger than what I have expected because the mixed katsu set on the menu looks like a small serving but actually it is good for 2. The set contains miso soup, unlimited cabbage, fruits and other veggies and of course their authentic katsu. Speaking of their katsu, I must say that this is the best hire katsu I have ever tasted. It is very tender and juicy. I also loved the fact that Yabu cooks their food using a Canola oil. Well for a fact, Canola oil is rich in omega 3 and 0 trans fat and cholesterol free.

Main dish#2 is the Chicken Katsudon Set. Just like what I have said on the Main dish#1, their katsu is tender and it complements the sweetness of the taste of Katsudon. Their serving of this Chicken Katsudon is real huge for a price of 260. This set also have a miso soup, unlimited cabbage and fruit and veggies on the side. Over all, we are indeed satisfied of the Yabu Experience. Their service is also great- the waiters are accomodating even their manager. He would visit each table and ask how everything was going and personally accomodate you if you need something.

Forgot to tell you about this. Anyways I won 2 pcs. good for two “any movie ticket” courtesy of MakeItMakati . (Thank youuu Make it Makati) I  used the first ticket with A to watch Haywire

Pert Shampoo

My aunt sent me this along with some Cetaphils. I thought that this is some ordinary shampoo but yep. I was dead wrong. Before, I am somewhat contented with the local shampoos and I would only achieve a “stepped out of salon” type of hair thus by using along a conditioner BUTTTTT. With Pert Shampoo (Okay I sound like Pert paid me up to advertise them) I found out that my hair is not “hiyang” with the local shampoos after all. I mean when I first used it, I don’t need to blow dry my hair anymore just like before plus you can feel its softness and see its shine-ness with just the first wash. My rating? 5/5.
